Guardsman (Private) - The Coldstream Guards

A Guardsman (Private) of The Coldstream Guards - 2nd Foot Guards. Interestingly, the 1st Foot Guards - The Grenadier Guards - were formed AFTER The Coldstream Guards and they do not accept their status (the 2nd Foot Guards) and this title is seldom used. Their motto is Nulli Secundus - Second to None. Painting by Malcolm Greensmith
circa 1815
